Teaching of Language Skills in English for Primary School ECL3093: Program Pensiswazahan Guru

Abstract

The ECL3093 Teaching of Language Skills in English for Primary Schools course was developed with the aim to provide exposure and knowledge to students in the methods, approaches and techniques in teaching primary school students in the ESL context concerning the teaching and learning of the four basic skills, reading, writing, listening, speaking and grammar to the primary school students. Therefore, this course would enable the English language teachers to gain better understanding of the methods, approaches and techniques that they may use in their teaching profession for primary school students. In addition, the teachers would also be able to gain ideas about how major language skills are integrated in English lessons. Such input acquired from this course may assist in their professional development and lifelong learning.
