Abstract

"Polygamy from the perspective of Sisters In Islam" is the topic of the academic project. Polygamy it means of the having more than one spouse at the same time, namely in Islamic society where this is legal. This study looks into the Sisters In Islam perception of polygamy. The study also looks into the polygamous life of the Rasulullah P.B.U.H. With this, an attempt is made to compare and contrast between the Sisters In Islam perceptions in polygamy with that of the noble polygamy as practiced by the Rasulullah P.B.U.H. Several methodologies are applied to complete this research namely, interviews with the members of group Sisters In Islam. Beside that, it also using observations and browsing the web site of Sisters In Islam. Nevertheless, the Author also used other methods for additional information, through the library research method such as, books, magazines, newspaper and others relevant documents that related to this research. The research found out that Sisters In Islam was given the conditions and explanation about it, and them disagree for polygamy except after the agreement from the wife or previous.
