Abstract

This academic project entitled "The Challenges Faced By Da' i In Confronting the Western Ci~ltureO nslaught". The main objective of the academic research is to make a critical study on the issue of the challenges faced by Da"i against the western influences. For all we know, the western ideologies and cultural principles have very strong influence in the Muslim principles and way of life. This research would find out how and why these western culture and ideologies are so influential, and hence realize the consequences upon the Islamic way of life. The issues of globalization, secularism, orientalism have taken roots in our Islamic way of life. The Da'i should find ways and efforts to confront these negative influences. For this purpose, the researcher uses mainly the method of literature review or library. The researcher finally suggests several steps that can be practiced in order to keep these western influences at bay.
