Abstract

This research is done to study the reality and sincerity role according to the Al-Qur'an and As-Sunnah. Sincerity is the sole to all social works, duties and ibadah. It is also the key to the successes of the duties, ibadah and responsibility. The research is done in order to increase the Muslims understanding on the sincerity issues as been stated in the Qur'an and Sunnah. It has been observed that the Muslims today lack of understanding on the sincerity concept in their life, duties and ibadah. A lot of them think that the world that there living today is for eternity and forget their responsibilities and duties towards their creator that is Allah S.W.T. As the result, they failed to get any success in this world and also suffer the loss in the end (Akhirat). In the first chapter, the writer has explained in detailed on the sincerity concept. The second chapter stated the role of sincerity and its importance. The writer explained in the third chapter on the intention or 'niat' and also describes the answer for all questions arise around the intention or 'niat' topic. In the last chapter, it stated the conclusion that derived from this research. The outcome from this research stated that to achieve the highest state of sincerity is not easy because it is all depend on the intention (niat). Only the truly sincerity intention will determine whether the ibadah that has been done is acceptable by Allah. As the final result, it can be concluded that all the problem arise on the sincerity aspect should be expose to the Muslims society so that they will understand sincerity concept and also aware on the importance of sincerity in our life.
