Abstract
The title of this study is " The effectiveness of mosques in propagating Islam: A case study at Zahir Mosque, Kedah". The dealing this topic in five chapters and the first chapter is dealing on an overview about research background. The second chapter mention about an overview of meaning, history and function of mosques as a central for the community. Beside that. the third chapter discuss about Zahir Mosque as a Da'wah central of Kedah. The next chapter is elaborate about analysis and discussion of finding / result and the final chapter is conclusion from this study. To complete this study there are some methods used for this study such as interview the relevant person in this field. Based on research implemented. researcher concludes that, propagating Islam is the main role of the mosque and the duties is still and continuously occur till now by the mosque.
