Transsexuality from Islamic Perspective

Abstract

This academic project is to look into the problem of trans-sexuality in Malaysia, particularly to the Muslim societies, as well as to analyze the factors that contribute to the problem. Library research and internet browsing were tools employed for the purpose data gathering. The findings from this study show that there are three main factors contributing to the problem namely; biological factors, psychological factors and sociological factors. Therefore, several solutions are suggested to solve this problem which involve all parties, especially the transsexuals, parents, societies and government.
