Abstract

The research describe about the methodology of Imam Tarmidzi in using hadith terms and classified the hadith and sunan. The opinion of the scholar's of hadith about "Imam Tarmidzi" and methodology of the sunan, most of them express their proud-feelings and praise the result of Imam Tarmidzi's writing. However, the great praise has been criticize with the certain scholar's opinions even all about their self or writing. In this case, it will be occur the Imam Tarmidzi's prestige as a "Perawi Siqah". The main objective of the research is to identify and define the term's has been used in "Jami' Sahih Sunan Tarmidzi's" book, in the other hand, to deny the wrong opinion. More, serving the deeper understanding to. Basically, this research is library research form. The heighten of" Imam Tarmidzi's" prestige as a "Perawi Siqah" decided with the deepest research of Scholars background. Which start in the collection and Scholars research opinion about the genetic (Sanad), attitude and so on. Once the true of prestige was proven about the scholar's then the analysis of term method from the divided hadith in Tarmidzi's Sunan, besides the comparison of the method with the other "hadith" books such as Sahih Bukhari and Muslim. Finally this research has proven the heighten prestige of this 'hadith scholars" and the own method with never disprove because of deepest understand and will increase the heighten prestige in hadith knowledge. As a Muslims whose believe in Al-Quran and Sunnah, the innovation must to take with the "Syariat" way to achieve the development and will throw light back to "Islamic Great Period". With the Imam Tarmidzi's effort in doing the writing innovation confidently, must be the specimen for today followers until is not way out.
