Abstract

In this research, the writer has chosen the topic related to Ibn Majah and his methods in his Sunan. Ibn Majah is one of famous figure is the field of Hadith. Besides that, this paper has explained issues related to his biographical information, the methods used in writing the book and discussing some of the criticism forwarded against him. This research is based on library method in the collection of data. From this study, it is found that there are differences of opinion in considering Sunan of Ibn Majah as the sixth major books in hadith. Nevertheless, majority of them favored it over other books due to its good organization and arrangement.
