Abstract

The research paper discusses about how women in Malaysia go about socializing themselves, either toeing the Islamic way of socialization or otherwise. This study is meant to show the way on how Muslim women need to socialize according to the Islamic way. These would touch on how to exchange sights, hold meeting, shaking hands, talking and touching a person of different gender. The question on the need and the necessity of women to work outside homes to seek education and to socialize at home will also be discussed. The researcher would touch on all the matters about in a detailed perspective and manner. For this study purpose, the researcher has used several approaches, to obtain the data and information, namely literature review, browsing the Internet and personal observation. The outcome of the study reveals that it is indeed very necessary for Muslim women to be able to socialize by adhering to the Islamic code of ethics for this purpose. The character of Muslim women with dignity will enable peace and harmony be enhanced in the family and the society.
