حقيقة النسخ في القرآن وموقف المستشرقون منه

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the nature of abrogation as stated in Al-Quran and Sunnah S.A.W and the attitude of the Orientalists towards it .It discusses the nature of abrogation in details, its conditions, benefits, divisions, types and so on. Terms such as " abrogation" and "Orientalism" are also defined, followed by examples of issues misunderstood by the Orientalists particularly those that relate with wine prohibition, the rights of widow and idol worship. In gathering data, library research method was used. It is found that abrogation exists in Islam due to certain reasons and motives, and by not understanding it will cause confusion and misunderstanding to Islam in general.
