Abstract

This academic writing titled: "Work Encouragement From The Quran and Sunnah Perspective" is a research that focuses on the working concept as enunciated in the Quran and Sunnah. The word "amal" in the Quran and Sunnah is so wide and connotes the particular ritual worship i.e; the relationship between human and Allah. Besides, the word also means the work of one's effort. In this academic writing, the author will attempt to narrow down the scope of "amal" to the working concept. The importance of this topic is to clarify the real nature of work as been told in the Quran dan Sunnah. This importance including the role of work, its position, characteristics, work ethics and the ethics of a worker. The main objective of this writing is to give the clear picture of the working concept to the society. This library research type of writing uses the methods such as reading, scrutinizing and comparing through all of the sources available. Therefore it is hoped that the result of this writing will help the society to understand what is the real concept of work as depicted in the Quran and Sunnah, which devotes to the happiness of the worldly and the Hereafter life.
