Abstract
This research will discuss about the problem of preparation halal and quality of food. It contains matter related to the source of the immature substance, the stage of processing in the preparation, keeping the cleaning of food. Besides that the writer, in her research includes the aspects of the responsibility of government and the society. The motive of writer's study is to know how far is some parties have carried out their responsibility especially government to solving this problem to society. The writer also studies the responsibility of the society as consumer to determine their rights in the selection of food. Some techniques were applied to get the related information; there are interviews, discussion and observation on the related documents. The findings indicate the rule of the government and society especially are the subjective to ensure weather the food is halal and good quality or not.
