Abstract

The main objective of this research is to attract the readers to know about the characteristics of pious men based on Al-Quran and Hadith Rasulullah s.a.w. The main focus is about pious men in the Al-Quran such as Ashabul Kahfi, Zulkarnain, Ashabul Uhdud and Luqman Hakim. Another discussion is to find out how far the characteristic of pious men depicted in the Al-Quran exist in men nowadays. The methodology used is library research which is find information in tafsir , hadith , Prophet history books and so on. And finally, the research concludes that the characteristics of pious men is most important to be the Vicegerent of Allah and the leader among Muslims on the earth. It's because pious men can guide the people to the right way and perform their responsibilities with honesty based on the Islamic way.
