Abstract

The research revolves around maintenance and its effect in building a happy family. The research goes deep in explaining about the distribution of maintenance and the way how can the wives claim it. Generally, the research tells about maintenance and its effect as well as knowing the exact way on how to claim for the maintenance especially for the wives in Syariah Court in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. To equip the research, some methodological approach has been used in solving the problem. All the information that was presented is based on the method of data collection through the research in library and the Syariah Court in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. Other than that, all the previous research, related document as well as information from the internet was also revised. In a nutshell, we can say that husbands play very important roles in giving maintenance as stated by Islam because each husband is the leader to his own family . To sustain the harmony, husband and wife must move along together, taking the responsibility together in achieving the title of "Rumahku Syurgaku".
