Abstract

The purpose of this academic research or writing has to explain and describe the right position concerning hukum of dressing by Muslim women as told in Al- Quran and As-Sunnah. Beside it's tried to explain clearly about this hukum that related with this writing according the view and opinion from four of the famous mazhab in Islam. Therefore the writer make a big effort in order to collect and gain all the related information not just in KUIM library but embodying Pusat Islam, UKM, UIA, and UM library and through internet surfing, magazines and CD-Rom. As a result, the writer found that almost Muslim women nowadays set up their dressing and wearing a scarf not based on syariat as thought in Islam but it's totally caused by modernization and fashionable influences. Gathered from this observation, the writer make a conclusion that Muslim women today doesn't really understand the right concept of dressing in Islamic perspective profoundly as told in Islam. Hence, in this writing the attempt to clearance the hukum related with this research including it's methodology especially for Muslim women over the world.
